We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for leading projects from preconstruction through closeout, including estimating, bidding, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. The ideal candidate has strong experience in civil construction, a solid understanding of project costs and field operations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering quality results.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for civil construction projects.
· Review plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents to determine project scope and pricing.
· Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
· Manage awarded projects through planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout.
· Track costs, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
· Coordinate with clients, engineers, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
· Conduct site visits, attend pre-bid meetings, and support project handoff and startup activities.
· Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
· Experience in civil construction estimating and project management.
· Strong knowledge of earthwork, utilities, grading, roadwork, concrete, or related civil scopes.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating/project management software.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required. Based on experience.
