Role Description
The Site Development Estimator position is a full-time, on-site role located in Brandenburg, KY. The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for site development projects, analyzing project plans, and managing bid proposals. Daily tasks include overseeing takeoffs, identifying project requirements, communicating with clients and vendors, and preparing accurate pricing and timelines for projects. The Estimator will collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure successful project execution and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Review civil/site plans, grading, and utility drawings
- Perform detailed earthwork and utility take-offs
- Estimate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Identify site risks, soil conditions, and cost contingencies
- Prepare and submit accurate bid proposals
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams
- Maintain bid history and cost data
Qualifications:
- 3 years of estimating experience in site development, utilities, or heavy civil
- Strong blueprint and plan reading skills
- Experience with AGTEK, Bluebeam, HeavyBid (or willingness to learn)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
