What You’ll Do
The DGA Operations Department is seeking an individual to fill the role of a part-time Theater Manager. This applicant should have strong communication and interpersonal skills. The applicant will join a team of Theater Managers responsible for the management of one of the most prominent private screening event facilities in Manhattan. This candidate will be responsible for acting as a liaison with studio/distributor contracts, catering companies, security vendors and theater patrons. This role is onsite only at the New York headquarters.
Essential duties and Responsibilities
Provide the highest level of customer service to all DGA members, patrons, vendors, and colleagues.Facilitate and support a variety of internal meetings and event rentals from small committee meetings to large screenings and receptions. Communicate effectively with all levels of DGA management, DGA office staff, theater projection staff, janitorial staff, and building supervisor.Assist in the setup, execution, and strike of assigned DGA meetings and/or events rentals. The ideal candidate will also stand for long periods of time and will be expected to work well in a team environment. Some lifting will be required.Supervise areas.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
A background in theater operations, facility management, and/or security is preferred. Must be available to work varied hours, including weeknights and weekends. Professional appearance is essential.Comply with strict business ethics guidelines. Estimated 15-25 hrs./wk.

The salary range for this position is between $20 – $22 per hour.
