Overview
The Bindery Helper supports production operations by preparing and finishing printed materials in accordance with established quality and production standards. This role helps ensure an efficient workflow, maintains high-quality output, and contributes to a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The Bindery Helper works collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules while following all company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Catch, sort, and band printed materials as they come off folding machines.
- Assemble boxes and power packs before and during production runs to ensure efficient workflow.
- Read, interpret, and follow instructions outlined in bindery job jackets.
- Inspect finished materials to ensure they meet quality standards and production specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bindery work area.
- Move materials and finished products to designated locations using a pallet jack or forklift, as required.
- Assist with general production and bindery operations as assigned.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production schedules and business demands.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
