*We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to add to our team.
Under the direct supervision of the dentist, the Dental Assistant will be responsible for general clinic administrative work and maintenance, as well as completing lab work. The Dental Assistant's primary responsibility is to prepare the examination rooms for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist. The Dental Assistant will also assist the dentist during their procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment. The Dental Assistant may also be responsible for greeting patients as they arrive and scheduling the patient's next appointment before they leave the clinic.

Essential Job Duties*
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays).
- Inquire of the patient's medical history and measure blood pressure and pulse.
- Ensure patients are comfortable prior to, during and after treatment.
- Provide patients with Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
- Take dental impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
- Take needed pre-op/post-op x-ray for required insurances.
- Clean, sterilize, and package instruments.
- Chart/Enter treatment into open dental.
- Assist with front office duties as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ideally have completed Certification of Dental Assisting through a valid education program.
- Appearance must be professional and approachable.
