Certified Dental Assistant | Porters Neck Dentistry | Wilmington, NC

Porters Neck Dentistry is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Certified Dental Assistant to join our growing team. We are a single-location, fee-for-service practice that emphasizes teamwork, patient experience, and comprehensive care. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

Schedule

• Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:00am–5:00pm assisting
• Optional Mondays, 8:00am–5:00pm assisting at the front desk
• Full-time status available if working 3 days
• Part-time option available for 2 days
  
  

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with all clinical procedures
• Support surgical and sedation procedures (training provided)
• Prepare and break down operatories
• Take impressions, assist with scanners, and fabricate temporaries
• Cross-train to help at the front desk when needed, including:
• Answering phones
• Verifying insurance
• Clerical tasks
• Discussing treatment plans with patients
  
  

Requirements

• Certified Dental Assistant
• Strong communication skills with patients and team members
• Willingness to learn and help throughout the office
• Comfortable assisting with surgery
• Experience with Eaglesoft preferred
• Experience with crown and bridge, temporaries, and scanners is a plus
  
  

Pay & Compensation

• $22–25 per hour
