Shipping Associate | First Shift
Direct Wire & Cable is hiring a Shipping Associate to support our logistics and distribution operations. This full-time, onsite role is based at our new, comfortable Lancaster facility, and works Monday–Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime required as needed based on business need.
We’re looking for a reliable, safety-conscious team player who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. No prior experience in shipping is required, we’ll provide training to help you succeed and grow in the role.
Responsibilities
- Operate scan guns to process purchase order (PO) receipts
- Use forklift equipment to move materials safely
- Prepare and package orders using wrapper equipment and small package shipping tools
- Label and organize finished products for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate with team members and assist with cross-training
- Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures

Requirements
- High school diploma required, post high school training preferred
- Excellent attendance is essential - we work as a team, and reliability is key to keeping operations running smoothly
- Experience with material handling and packaging equipment
- Ability to read and follow routine instructions
- Basic math skills and strong organizational abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 250 lbs with assistance
- Comfortable working in variable temperatures and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license required
Shift & Location:
- Schedule: 1st Shift – Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (overtime based on business need)
- Work Location: On-site, Lancaster, PA
