CRANE OPERATOR – FORT SMITH, AR
$18/HR TO START | OVERTIME AVAILABLE
Direct Staffing is now hiring for a Crane Operator for an industrial facility in Fort Smith, AR. This is a hands-on outdoor position operating a material handler with grapple and magnet attachments. Candidates must be safety-minded, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
Current hours are 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM with overtime
Normal schedule will transition to 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay:
Starting pay is $18/hr
Job Duties Include:

• Operating material handler/crane with grapple or magnet attachment
• Loading and unloading inbound/outbound trucks
• Feeding mill and monitoring infeed belt
• Identifying and separating materials
• Assisting with general yard operations and cleanup
• Completing daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
• Replacing hoses, tightening fittings, and communicating maintenance needs
• Assisting maintenance team with lifting and moving components
• Loading outbound trucks to proper weights
• Maintaining safe work environment and following LOTO procedures

Requirements:

• Must have verifiable previous crane, heavy equipment, material handler, or similar equipment experience
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong awareness of surroundings and safe equipment operation
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

This is a physically demanding industrial position with long-term opportunity and overtime available.
