Duties
- Greet and engage walk-in customers with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Support both English- and Spanish-speaking customers
- Help homeowners, electricians, and contractors select ceiling fans, decorative lighting, LED fixtures, and outdoor lighting
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Manage stock levels through merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to ensure an attractive store environment
- Assist with inventory management by conducting stock counts and replenishing merchandise as needed
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support sales goals by upselling complementary products and promoting ongoing promotions or loyalty programs
- Work closely with warehouse and sales teams to ensure smooth order pickup and fulfillment
Requirements
- Bilingual: English / Spanish
- High energy and strong work ethic
- Driven, sales-minded attitude (you like helping customers AND closing sales)
- Experience in lighting showrooms, home improvement retail, or related sales
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of phone etiquette, upselling techniques, and product demos to engage customers effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
