Are you able to commit to 10-35 hours per week (the work can be done at any time of the day or night, these are part time roles, high hourly rate and no benefits are offered, you will be paid as a contractor).
The roles entail spending time having conversations with AI surrounding your areas of expertise as a Computational Biologist, Bioinformatics Scientist, Bioinformatician, Genomics Data Scientist, Statistical or Population Geneticist, Clinical Bioinformatician, Multiomics Scientist, Staff Scientist or Bioinformatics Core Lead.
Desired skills/Experience:
- A College Degree and 3 years of working experience in Biology/BioInformatics, Genomics Data, Genetics, Clinical Bio Stats and Data, Multiomics or Staff Scientist within the Life Sciences Domain.
- Preferred Background: Practicing analysts at a pharma company, biotech, research institute, or university lab; experience at a small or mid sized biotech is a plus.
- We Can Consider: Early to mid career scientists who pair strong technical and tool literacy with enough hands on experience to work independently.
- Strongly Preferred: A track record of ramping into data you did not generate: core facility or collaborative analysis roles, a switch from wet lab to dry lab, or moving between data modalities.
- Strong Plus: Peer reviewed publications or public code (e.g., GitHub, Bioconductor packages) are a strong positive signal
Must be able to follow instructions, must have clear written communication skills, must be able to dedicate at least 10 hours per week (you pick which days and times, Yes: you can work more than 10 hours); experience interacting with AI (experience with AI training platforms is a strong plus)
