Field Service Engineer

Contract role in 3 locations: Miami, FL, Indianapolis, IN and Joplin, MO

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Engineer / Field Engineer to support the installation and deployment of technology solutions within hospitals and healthcare facilities.

This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who has experience working inside active hospital environments, installing and configuring technology, coordinating with hospital IT and facilities teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring systems are fully tested and ready for use.

The ideal candidate understands the unique requirements of working in healthcare environments and is comfortable working around clinical staff, patients, hospital operations, and other contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, deployment, configuration, testing, and validation of technology systems within hospitals and healthcare facilities.
• Follow project drawings, installation plans, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and technical requirements.
• Install and connect technology equipment, devices, cabling, network components, and related systems as required by the project.
• Coordinate with hospital IT, facilities, clinical teams, vendors, and project leadership during installation activities.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, configuration, and deployment issues.
• Complete system testing and validation before project turnover.
• Identify and escalate technical issues, site conditions, or installation challenges.
• Maintain accurate installation records, testing documentation, checklists, and project closeout documentation.
• Work safely and professionally within active hospital environments while minimizing disruption to patient care and hospital operations.
• Support other on-site technicians and contractors as directed by the Technical Delivery Lead.
• Assist with client training and technology handoff when required.

Required Experience

• 2 years of hands-on hospital or healthcare facility installation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience deploying technology in active hospitals, medical centers, clinics, or other healthcare environments.
• Experience working with hospital IT, facilities, biomedical/clinical engineering, or other healthcare stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and document technical systems primarily Windows
• Familiarity with network infrastructure, hardware, end-user technology, and technology deployment processes.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, installation plans, and MOPs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and professional customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently on-site while following direction from technical and project leadership.
• Willingness to travel to hospital project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare technology deployments.
• Experience working around clinical environments and patient-care areas.
• Experience coordinating installations with hospital IT and facilities departments.
• Technical certifications in networking, IT, infrastructure, or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting large-scale hospital technology implementations.
