Job Title: Production Control Associate
Location: Palmdale, CA
Job Type: Full-Time (Contract-to-Hire)
Pay Range: $19–$21 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime available)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Control Associate to support daily manufacturing operations in a high-volume precision machining environment. This role is responsible for coordinating work orders, managing inventory levels, and ensuring accurate data flow within the ERP system.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Control
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods
- Generate and analyze inventory reorder reports based on customer demand
- Forecast material and part requirements using historical data and customer releases
- Update and manage Kanban min/max levels
- Monitor inventory transactions and analyze usage trends
Work Order Management
- Create, issue, and maintain work order packets for new and repeat jobs
- Develop process plans in collaboration with manufacturing teams
- Audit work order processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Create split and rework work orders as needed
- Maintain accurate digital records and documentation
- Implement and track engineering revisions within the ERP system
- Calculate and input standard costs
Sales Order Processing
- Enter and manage sales orders within the ERP system
- Review customer purchase orders and ensure accurate data entry
- Identify and flag first-run or special requirement jobs
- Coordinate with internal teams to clarify customer requirements
ERP & Operational Support
- Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems
- Review active jobs on the production floor and update systems as needed
- Support ERP system improvements and enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production and delivery goals
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing, production control, or expediting role
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience in precision machining or manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understanding of inventory control and production planning principles
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
