What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trunk line Machine Operator position at Direct Hire Global?
The Trunk line produces all our Trunk Duct which is used in long stretches in the main part of the heating and air system. The machine uncoils the steel, cuts to size, put the appropriate bends in, and then pushes the goods onto a table to be grouped and banded. This person would run our Trunk machine and be responsible for using the computerized system to program work, keeping an eye on the quality of the product as well as having minimal mechanical abilities to change settings on the machine. Once banded the employee needs to put on two additional clips and locks (slide onto the end) and move to a cart for transport. We require a fast learner and someone who can get up to speed quickly. There is a physical component to move the trunk from the table to the cart, but the weight restrictions should not exceed 50 pounds.
