Food Service Specialist

Biovation Labs is looking for a part-time Food Service Specialist to join our team. As the Food Service Specialist, you are responsible for preparing daily breakfast for employees in a hygienic and efficient manner. This role ensures a positive experience that supports employee satisfaction and well-being. Responsibilities include inventory management, food preparation, setup and cleanup of the dining area, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Keep food fully stocked for breakfast during hours required at all functioning buildings
• Manage inventory of food items
• Manage expiration dates of food items to ensure consumption of items is oldest to newest by date
• Order items once a week or as needed, using app or online system 
• Maintain cleanliness of food storage, ie. Fridge, freezer, dry food cabinet
• Maintain cleanliness of food serving area and provide clean utensils and gloves for serving
• Ensure all food is returned to proper storage areas and stored safely and securely

Job Requirements:

• Food Handlers permit is preferred
• Good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task
