Trademark, Copyright & Branding Associate (2–5 Years) – Multiple Offices
Direct Counsel represents a well-regarded Am Law firm seeking a mid-level associate to join its Trademark, Copyright & Branding practice. Opportunities are available in Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, New York, and Washington, D.C.
This is a strong opportunity to work with a national IP team advising clients on brand protection, portfolio strategy, and complex trademark and copyright matters across industries.
What You’ll Do:
- Handle U.S. trademark clearance, prosecution, and portfolio management
- Manage TTAB proceedings and support trademark-related disputes
- Advise on copyright issues and brand protection strategies
- Draft and negotiate licensing and acquisition agreements
- Support trademark and IP-related litigation matters
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of trademark and copyright experience at a law firm
- Experience with trademark prosecution, clearance, and TTAB work
- Exposure to copyright counseling and trademark litigation
- International prosecution and licensing experience is a plus
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- J.D. and active bar admission (or eligibility)
