Direct Counsel represents an Am Law 100 firm seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal. This role supports a dynamic real estate practice and offers hands-on involvement in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and complex transactional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, and related reviews.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing conveyance, closing, and real estate transaction documents.
- Manage all aspects of real estate closings, including checklists, signature packages, recordings, and closing books.
- Draft and file UCC financing statements; order and analyze UCC, lien, and litigation searches.
- Prepare entity formation documents and draft leases, purchase contracts, easements, deeds, and related documents.
- Perform factual research, prepare reports, and manage filings for special assignments.
- Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction flow.
- Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple matters with high attention to detail.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, InTapp, Kofax, Orbital, and related platforms.
- Accurately record time and meet an annual 1,600-hour billable requirement.
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate or related degree preferred.
- 5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience required.
- Experience in a law firm
- Strong organizational skills, client service mindset, and ability to manage complex projects.
- Reliable attendance and availability during scheduled work hours.
Schedule
- 5 days onsite
- Start time: 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. (standard weekly hours; overtime as needed)
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
