Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 5 years of commercial real estate experience to join a highly regarded Real Estate practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing and enjoy working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Handle a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions from start to finish.
- Represent clients in:
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Commercial leasing
- Real estate development
- Real estate financing
- Draft, review, and negotiate:
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Commercial leases
- Development agreements
- Easements
- Declarations
- Legal opinions
- Closing documents
- Conduct and analyze real estate due diligence, including:
- Title and survey review
- Zoning analysis
- Existing lease review
- Environmental diligence
- Transaction authorizations
- Support mergers and acquisitions involving real estate assets.
- Communicate directly with clients, title companies, surveyors, lenders, and opposing counsel.
- Manage multiple complex transactions while ensuring timely execution and exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
- Active admission to the Florida Bar.
- 5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
- Experience managing sophisticated real estate transactions from inception through closing.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional client service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Real estate finance
- Franchise real estate acquisitions and leasing
- Joint ventures
- Hospitality developments
- Homebuilder or community development projects
- Zoning and land use matters
- Prior experience at an Am Law 100 law firm.
- Strong client relationship and business development skills.
