Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm in Los Angeles.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior to mid-level real estate attorney with 3–4 years of experience to join a nationally recognized real estate practice handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience representing clients in a broad range of complex real estate matters and will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Represent clients in a variety of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.

Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets across multiple asset classes.

Assist with real estate financing transactions, including borrower and lender-side matters.

Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, leases, and other transaction-related documents.

Participate in due diligence reviews, transaction structuring, negotiations, and closings.

Advise clients on real estate investment, ownership, development, and operational matters.

Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to support complex transactions and client objectives.

Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing practical, business-focused legal advice.
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.

3–4 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions at a sophisticated law firm.

Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, fund formation, and/or leasing transactions.

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines effectively.

Compensation & Benefits
