Location: Indianapolis, IN
Direct Counsel is seeking a Public Finance Mid-Senior Level Associate Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join a top Am Law firm in their Indianapolis office. This role provides an opportunity to advise municipalities, counties, conservancy districts, regional districts, and private sector clients on complex public finance matters, including bond transactions, tax-exempt financing, and securities law compliance.
Responsibilities

Represent clients in bond transactions, drafting and negotiating bond documents.

Advise clients on tax-exempt financing and securities law compliance.

Provide guidance on economic development matters, including tax abatements and tax increment financing.

Collaborate with partners and associates across government services, utilities, land use, and transactional practices.

Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality client service.
Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of legal experience, with meaningful corporate and transactional experience preferred.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide unique perspectives on complex public finance issues.

Excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication with clients and colleagues.

Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

J.D. from an accredited law school.

Admission to the Indiana Bar or willingness to obtain licensure.
