About the Role
Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized corporate practice to recruit an Associate Attorney with 3 years of private equity transactional experience. This role supports a sophisticated M&A and private equity practice representing funds, financial institutions, portfolio companies, and public and private enterprises across a wide range of transactions.
Key Responsibilities

Advise on acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, and related corporate transactions.

Support private equity funds and financial institutions throughout the investment lifecycle.

Provide high-quality legal service both independently and as part of a collaborative national corporate team.

Communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to clients.

Engage in professional development consistent with an on-track partnership role.
Qualifications

J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Admission or eligibility for admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

3 years of M&A and private equity transactional experience.

Strong academic credentials and excellent critical reasoning abilities.

Work Structure

Hybrid schedule with approximately 60% in-office presence, in accordance with firm guidelines.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $260,000–$365,000, with eligibility for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
