Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Associate (2 Years) – New York
Direct Counsel represents a well-regarded Am Law firm seeking a junior associate to join its fast-growing Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice in New York. This is a prime opportunity to work with innovative startups, founders, and leading venture investors on high-growth, high-impact matters.
What You’ll Do:
- Advise startups and founders on formation, governance, and day-to-day corporate matters
- Support venture financings from seed through later-stage rounds
- Assist with M&A transactions and strategic exits
- Represent venture funds and investors in financing transactions
- Work closely with clients and senior attorneys in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of experience in ECVC, corporate, or transactional practice
- Experience at a comparable law firm preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Strong academic credentials; math and Excel skills are a plus
- Active New York Bar admission required
