Direct Counsel is seeking a Finance (Corporate Trust) Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded Am Law 100 firm in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 4–5 years of finance experience to join a nationally recognized Finance Practice Group advising corporate trustees, financial institutions, and other market participants in sophisticated capital markets and structured finance transactions.
Key Responsibilities

Represent corporate trustees and financial institutions in a broad range of capital markets and corporate trust transactions.

Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents related to structured finance and capital markets matters.

Advise clients on corporate trust agreements, transaction structures, and financing documentation.

Assist in managing sophisticated financing transactions from structuring through closing.

Coordinate with clients, transaction parties, and multidisciplinary legal teams to facilitate successful transaction execution.

Provide practical legal guidance on complex structured finance and corporate trust issues.
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Active Bar membership in good standing.

4–5 years of experience in finance, capital markets, structured finance, corporate trust, or related transactional practice.

Experience with a broad range of capital markets transactions, particularly structured finance, is preferred.

Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
