Direct Counsel is working with a highly respected litigation firm to identify a seasoned professional, ideally someone with a background in law enforcement or accident investigation, to join our team full-time as a Legal Intake and Investigations Specialist. This role is an excellent fit for someone who has spent years helping people in crisis and is now seeking a new way to make a meaningful impact. You’ll work directly with individuals and families after life-changing events, using your investigative skills and professional judgment to ensure they receive the support they need.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intakes and gather essential case information through in-person meetings, phone calls, or virtual appointments
- Meet with potential clients at their homes, hospitals, accident scenes, or other designated locations when necessary
- Collect physical evidence, photographs, and supporting documentation from accident sites or vehicles
- Obtain police reports and witness statements when needed
- Work closely with the intake and legal teams to ensure timely case evaluation, documentation, and follow-up
Applicant Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, accident investigations, or personal injury law
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
