Position Overview:
The Litigation Counsel will handle a diverse portfolio of sophisticated litigation matters, including cases involving constitutional rights, real estate disputes, and business torts. This position offers significant responsibility, client interaction, and the opportunity to lead key aspects of litigation strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and argue substantive briefs and a wide range of motions in state and federal court
- Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, and trial preparation
- Take ownership of multiple complex matters and drive them forward efficiently
- Collaborate with partners and team members on high-stakes litigation
- Represent clients in hearings, with trial experience strongly preferred
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 8 years of litigation experience
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience drafting briefs and dispositive motions
- Ability to independently manage significant matters and client relationships
- Hearing and trial experience preferred
- Active admission to the California State Bar is required
Compensation & Structure:
The expected salary range for this position is $175,000 to $230,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a counsel-level role and is not on a partner track.
