Direct Counsel represents a prestigious AmLaw firm seeking a Mid-Level/Senior Asset Management & Investment Funds Associate to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds Practice.
Locations: Boston, MA | New York, NY | Washington, DC
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 4–7 years of experience advising clients in the registered funds, private funds, and investment management space.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on asset management, investment funds, and regulatory matters
- Counsel registered funds, private funds, investment advisers, and asset managers on compliance and governance issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate fund formation and operational documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to securities and investment management regulations
- Work directly with clients on complex regulatory and transactional matters
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver strategic legal solutions
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission and good standing
- 4–7 years of experience in asset management, investment funds, registered funds, private funds, or related regulatory matters
- Strong analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively in a team environment

Compensation & Benefits:
