Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit customs entries and documentation in compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.
- Classify imported goods and determine applicable customs duties and taxes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, customs officials, and internal departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of customs entries.
- Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to clients regarding customs clearance processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Update/maintain customer specific HTS databases.
- Communicate with various CBP ports/officers to comply with all entry regulations/procedures.
- Follow up on entry release status.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Customs Entry Writer or similar role in customs brokerage or freight forwarding preferred.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff schedules, and import/export procedures preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in using MS Office, Outlook and PDF.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Custom Brokerage License preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred.
