What are the responsibilities and job description for the Co-op Teacher in ABA Clinics position at DIRECT BEHAVIORAL STRATEGIES?
DBS is excited to bring on a new teaching position to our ABA clinic. We are looking for a motivated, creative and positive teacher for our Educational Co-op program in our Winter Park and Kissimmee clinics. This position is 3 days as the Co-op Teacher in Winter Park and 2 days as a Co-op teacher in the Kissimmee the clinic.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT, ACTIVE FLORIDA TEACHING CERTIFICATE. DUE TO THE FUNDING FOR THIS PROGRAM, WE CANNOT HIRE SOMEONE THAT IS NOT A CERTIFIED TEACHER IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT A FLORIDA CERTIFIED TEACHER. THANK YOU!
Duties:
- Monitor educational goals outlined in each student's home school curriculum
- Develop weekly lesson plans and individualize them to different age/ ability groups
- Create fun and interactive learning activities that coincide with the lesson plan
- Monitor each student's progress and update their quarterly educational goals
- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to support student learning
- Work closely with individuals with autism to promote social and emotional development
- Complete annual progress evaluations and review with parents
Qualifications:
- Florida Certified Teacher
- Experience in ABA or related field
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience with developing lesson plans and creating a stimulating educational environment.
