Dircks Moving & Logistics is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk who will be involved in interactions with our customers, operations, and customer support while ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence with correct spelling and grammar. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematical concepts.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Dircks Moving & Logistics is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk who will be involved in interactions with our customers, operations, and customer support while ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Compiles, maintains and coordinates the Cash Disbursement (A/P) processes by performing the following duties:
- Verifies and reconciles invoices against purchase orders and ensures that proper authorization was obtained and that pricing is accurate.
- Investigates discrepancies and forwards to the appropriate manager for override approval and/or disputes items with vendors that are not authorized or inaccurate.
- Responds to all vendor inquiries and performs daily data entry of invoices into the Great Plains.
- Reconcile third party invoices.
- Assists in the monthly closing process and is responsible for ensuring that all data entry is completed no later than the 5th business day of the following month.
- Sets up and maintains new and existing vendor accounts in Great Plains.
- Ensures that all 1099 information is on file and accurately entered into system prior to release of ANY payments.
- Verifies information on purchase order log and investigates discrepancies and missing purchase orders.
- Compares vendor statements to data in Great Plains and resolves discrepancies.
- Prints weekly accounts payable aging, suggests potential payments and forwards to the Controller for final payment selection.
- Notifies Controller of any items requiring payment to ensure discounts are taken or penalties not applied.
- Prepares accounts payable checks for DMS and all related companies and attaches backup for invoices selected.
- Enters data and posts all manual checks daily as required.
- Initiates ACH payments.
- Help Prepare weekly driver statements with back up to 1099 contractors.
- Work with HR to reconcile benefits each month.
- Email Vendors if missing invoices prior to month end. Monitor Accounts Payable Inbox.
