DiPrete Engineering is seeking a Senior Accountant who will play a critical role in strengthening our financial reporting, partnering with project teams, and serving as a trusted advisor to leaders across the firm.

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare highly accurate financial statements and management reports, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Lead complex account reconciliations, proactively identifying inconsistencies and unusual trends, and drive corrective actions.
- Perform in‑depth financial analysis including dashboards, trend reviews, and time analysis to support stronger operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner closely with Project Managers and operational leaders, helping them understand financial results, ask better questions, and improve project performance and profitability.
- Support internal controls, financial policy development, and compliance requirements to enhance accuracy and reduce risk.
- Assist with annual insurance renewals, audits, and tax-related calculations, including state apportionment analysis.
- Process payroll with precision, ensuring alignment between payroll records, benefits, and provider invoices.
- Maintain fixed asset reports and complete annual municipal property filings.
- Prepare benefit census files for HR and 401(k) administrators.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non‑technical audiences, translating financial information into meaningful insights.
- Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives such as Lean/process improvement and demonstrate ownership beyond core accounting tasks.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a complex, multi‑system environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- A mindset of accountability, continuous improvement, and ownership.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your style for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Expertise in accounting principles, regulatory standards, and navigating large data sets across multiple systems.
- Ability to evaluate and enhance reports, dashboards, and data flows to improve accuracy and decision support.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, analytical review).
- Experience with ERP systems and, ideally, data visualization tools such as Power BI.
