We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Receptionist at Dionne Neurology in Washington, MO to fulfill a part-time or full-time role. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality neurologic care by performing medical, administrative, and operational tasks in the outpatient setting. The role involves equal clinical and administrative patient interaction within a small, collaborative team supported by a board-certified neurologist. There are no travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively and politely with patients, families, insurance payors, and medical teams while maintaining confidentiality
- Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vital signs, collecting medical history, and documenting medication reconciliation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Arrange necessary testing and manage subspecialist referrals
- Process faxed referrals and schedule patient appointments
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices
Required Qualifications
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required prior to start date
- Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification preferred
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Spirit of collegiality and professionalism
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and outpatient medical office procedures, including insurance pre-authorization processes
- Aptitude with electronic health records (EHR) for documentation and scheduling
- Experience delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to elderly populations
- Willingness to learn about neuroscience and neurology through on-the-job training
Salary : $18 - $22
