Job Description
Canyon Heights Academy, located in Campbell, CA, seeks an Extended Daycare Teacher for our students in grades 1st thru 8th.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age of 18
- Prior experience working with children in an organized program
- Must have knowledge of children’s developmental stages and activities that are appropriate for each grade level
- Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the children and the program.
- Has the ability to interact well with others in a professional environment
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate enrichment activities which expand and support student learning experiences beyond the classroom
- Supervising children’s play activities
- Building positive relationships with parents, students, and school personnel
- Overseeing homework time and guiding children as necessary
- Demonstrating cooperation, flexibility, and teamwork
- Maintaining a safe, conducive environment for children inside and outside
- Documenting incidents of injury, health, or behavior issues
- Keeping materials inventoried, organized and put away when finished
- Performing assigned housekeeping duties daily
- Preparing snacks
- Implementing program procedures effectively to ensure the safe being of all participants
- Enjoying being with students and foster their spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development through the duties outlined above
Hourly rate: $30.00
