THE OPPORTUNITY: Salesian College Preparatory is seeking a high school counselor for the 2026-2027 school year. Accountability: • Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention to students; conduct counseling sessions with students • Individually or as a group, follow up on teacher/admin/staff referrals with students. • Assist with Counseling Department class presentations when needed • Upholds and models a moral code that is consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the Salesian mission. Job Skills / Behavioral Skills Required: • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with children and adolescents QUALIFICATIONS • BA in Psychology or Counseling required • MA in Psychology or Counseling preferred • CA School Counselor (PPS) Credential or CA Licensed Therapist/Psychologist preferred • Experience in counseling adolescents in a school setting preferred SALARY & BENEFITS • Full Time Exempt • Salary Range: $60,220- $104,800 DOE • Onsite (no remote option) TO APPLY: Please submit the following to application@salesian.com. • Cover letter that expresses your interest and fit for leading a Catholic high school • Current resume that includes dates for all degrees, certifications, and experience
