Job Summary:
The communications Coordinator role is responsible for supporting specifically defined elements of the communications throughout the parish community.
This role is responsible for supporting public relations to include the church’s bulletin, proclaim and all other communication aspects of the parish. These will include livestreaming processes and equipment, knowledge of the church website, conduct direct mailings, email, social media, apps, podcasts, video production and other platforms external communications, public relations, printed materials, as they are acquired. Someone in this role must have a heart for the church, a love of Jesus and a desire to serve the people and ministries of the church.

Physical/Visual/Mental Demands:
Person in this position will work in an inside office environment alone at times and frequently with a group; normal hours for the short-term period will be 10 hours a week, not to exceed 30 hours in a 2 weeks' pay period (without prior approval). The person will work well in a Fast-paced environment with daily/weekly deadlines.
Nature of Supervision Received:
Receives minimal supervision but interacts regularly with the pastor.
Judgment Exercised/Decisions Made:
Considerable judgment and independent decisions making is required regarding compliance to policies. Decisions are moderately complex. Requires ability to thoroughly investigate and analyze problems and recommend the proper course of action. Requires ability to follow through on all projects. Prioritization and organization are necessary in order to meet deadlines. Judgment and tact must be used in communication of policies and procedures.
Financial Responsibility:
Responsible for effective use of budgeted resources.

Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Communications
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Marketing and Communications
- A background in theology or pastoral ministry will be preferred but not required
- Exhibit a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit and active participation in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)
- Strong marketing and design project management experience
- Phenomenal written and verbal communication skills required
- Interpersonal skills that are welcoming and relationship-focused
- Proven ability to be a team player as well as a thoughtful, effective coach
- Experience in graphics, web design, print media, content marketing, video production, copywriting, social media marketing
- Experience with IT and user-end use of technology infrastructures at a mid-level or higher
- Understanding of user perspectives and ability to suggest effective solutions
- Experience with planning, organization, and deployment
- Microsoft 365
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to understand various business functions and requirements.

- Serve as the church’s brand manager, responsible for safeguarding the church’s brand and overall brand perception in all marketing and communication efforts, to include ongoing parish mission plan goals and initiatives
- Develop and execute the church’s marketing and communications plan to stimulate church growth while maximizing the impact of the gospel locally and globally
- Maintain effective systems of quality control for all marketing and communication material the church produces
- Effectively manage the expense and staffing budgets for the department
- Delegate, schedule, and communicate progress updates for all marketing and communication efforts with impacted stakeholders
- Establishes and maintains parishes online branding, marketing and messaging (website, and social media)
- Creates and maintains parish ministry marketing brochures, ministry volunteerism, etc.
