Summary:
This is a part-time position, two to four days per month, for a audio-visual technician to share their experience and valuable knowledge through hands-on experience working as part of the Diocese of Gaylord’s Communications Team.

Summary:
This is a part-time position, two to four days per month, for a audio-visual technician to share their experience and valuable knowledge through hands-on experience working as part of the Diocese of Gaylord’s Communications Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating sound and video equipment to livestream and record the Mass on Saturday evenings and select holidays from St. Mary Cathedral in Gaylord. Responsible for editing the video recording of the Mass and uploading to the television station for broadcast.
- Problem solves technical issues that may arise when operating audio and video equipment.
- Assumes role in Communications Staff rotation for this work, typically scheduled two Saturday evenings per month.
- Compiles analytics and statistical data from various platforms and provides regular reports to the Director of Communications.
- Other duties may include operating sound and video equipment to livestream, record, edit and upload special Masses, webinars, workshops, or events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with video equipment is essential, audio equipment preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro software preferred.
- Understanding of social media platforms, particularly YouTube and Facebook.
- Ability to meet and exceed deadlines.
- Comfortable with evolving technology and enjoys learning new platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and visual communication skills.
- Creative and detail-orientated individual.
- Must be able to work weekends, as well as evenings and holidays with advance notice.
- Familiarity with Catholic liturgies and values is a plus.
