Diocesan Job Description: Human Resources Assistant
Classification:
Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Onsite, 25 hours per week
Reports To: Director of Human Resources

Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support relating to the posting and processing of new applicants, as well as assist pastors, principals, and managers regarding the hiring of new employees.
This position requires extreme confidentiality, care, and trust.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the main point of contact for general calls and new applicants
- First line processor of applicant materials and completion of hiring process
- Initiate the Safe Environment process for new employees as part of the hiring process
- Assist with the maintenance of personnel files while maintaining confidentiality
- Scanning, filing, copying of required materials as needed for daily correspondence
- Assist with planning training, meetings, and events as needed
- Assist in maintaining regular communication with parishes, schools, and department heads of the Curia
- Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Human Resources as needed
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Education and Preferred Work Experience
- Associate Degree and/or a minimum of three years of office management/administrative work experience preferred
- Familiar with Church administrative and organizational structures preferred
- Previous Diocesan experience preferred
