Classroom Instructional Aide

Christ the King School is a faith-filled community rooted in the Holy Cross charism, committed to educating hearts and minds while forming students to be people of hope, compassion, and service. We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Classroom Instructional Aide who will support teachers and students in creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.

The Classroom Instructional Aide will work closely with classroom teachers to support student learning, assist with classroom activities and routines, and help ensure that all students feel known, supported, and encouraged. Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instruction, activities, and classroom routines

• Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the classroom teacher

• Reinforce skills and concepts introduced during classroom instruction

• Help create and maintain a positive, structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment

• Support students in developing independence, confidence, responsibility, and positive relationships

• Assist with classroom preparation, organization, materials, and other instructional needs

• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and other school activities as assigned

• Support classroom expectations and behavior management practices established by the teacher and school

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and administration to support student needs

• Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding students and families

• Model the faith, values, and Holy Cross mission of Christ the King School through positive and caring interactions with students

• Participate in school events, meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as required

• Perform other duties as assigned to support students, teachers, and the school community

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or similar setting preferred

• Patient, caring, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with students

• Ability to follow teacher direction while also taking initiative when appropriate

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively with students with a variety of learning needs and abilities

• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality

• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school rooted in the Holy Cross charism

• Ability to complete Safe Environment training and required background checks
