Band Director (Middle School)
St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School – Brainerd, MN
St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School is seeking a full-time or part-time Band Director to lead and inspire our middle school students beginning in the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for music education, the ability to develop strong student musicianship, and a commitment to fostering a joyful, faith-filled learning environment. Responsibilities:
- Direct the band program for grades 4–8, including lessons, rehearsals, and performances.
- Create engaging, age-appropriate music instruction that supports student growth and confidence.
- Collaborate with faculty, parents, and parish community to enrich the school’s arts and faith culture.
- Provide opportunities for students to perform and develop a love of music.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related experience (preferred).
- Current teaching license (preferred).
- Prior classroom and band direction experience (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- A willingness to support and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.
