Position Title: Part-Time Cook
Location: Nazareth Retreat House/Diocese of Crookston
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Compensation: $19 per hour
Position Summary:
Nazareth Retreat House, a mission of the Diocese of Crookston in Crookston,
Minnesota, is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare and serve meals for retreat
groups in a welcoming, faith-filled environment. The ideal candidate enjoys
preparing home-style meals, takes pride in kitchen cleanliness and hospitality,
and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve nutritious and appealing meals for retreat guests under the direction of the foodservice manager.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
Ensure proper food storage, handling, and safety procedures.
Coordinate with food service management regarding meal schedules and dietary needs.
Assist with kitchen setup, serving, and cleanup as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food preparation or a commercial kitchen preferred.
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Dependable, flexible, and able to work evenings and weekends.
A welcoming attitude that supports the mission of Nazareth Retreat House.
Additional Requirements:
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.
Schedule:
Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, or more as availability and needs present themselves. Must be available for evening and weekend shifts based on retreat
schedules and facility needs.
Compensation:
$19 per hour
