St. John Neumann Catholic Church is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications and Stewardship Coordinator to support our mission of evangelization and stewardship. This role helps plan and execute parish communications, marketing, and fundraising initiatives while collaborating with staff, ministry leaders, and donors. Key responsibilities include maintaining the parish website assisting with social media, creating print and digital materials, supporting stewardship events and donor outreach, and capturing photos and videos to share the life of our parish. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong organizational and communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to serve the Church through their gifts.
Ministerial Character
The Pastor is the visible principle and foundation of unity at St. John Neumann, which the bishop has entrusted to him. He makes Christ’s mission present and enduring in the parish. To fulfill his mission, the Pastor employs suitable, chosen collaborators (clerics, religious, or lay people). He shares his mission with them and entrusts various responsibilities to them.
Positions employed at St. John Neumann help to extend the ministry of the Pastor in particular ways as outlined in the job description. Therefore, the employee in this position is closely connected to and assists the Pastor in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the Church.
The Business Operations team partners with all staff and volunteers to cultivate an environment in which parishioners and guests can thrive. The business operations team ensures that the foundational aspects of our community, including our physical space, communications, stewardship, and business practices, remain healthy.

Requirements
Essential Job Duties:
- As an integral part of your ministry for the Church as carried out in this position, support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of St. John Neumann in both your professional and personal life.
- Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Continuously grow in your ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed.
- Lead the creation, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive marketing, communication, and public relations strategies, producing both print and digital materials, including the weekly bulletin, parish newsletter, and ministry communications to effectively support and promote parish life.
- Develop and implement annual communications schedule with the Director of Stewardship and Communications.
- Ensure quality photography for bulletin, newsletter, website, annual fundraising collateral.
- Oversee parish website for updated information and communications supporting ministries at St. John Neumann.
- Assist the Director of Stewardship and Communications with donor follow up and outreach.
- Occasional Stewardship event support (some weekends and or/evenings).
- Assist in planning, organizing and executing fundraising initiatives and stewardship events.
- Create marketing materials, flyers and campaign promotions.
- Support church ministries and team members with marketing and fundraising promotions.
- Assist in planning and posting to Meta.
- Assists with fundraising initiatives.
- Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the parish and staff.
- Take photos and videos at parish events to evangelize our mission.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in parish communications, consistency in branding and messaging across all platforms, and careful management of donor records, event materials, and stewardship initiatives.
- Knowledge of Canva, Website (eCatholic), Meta, Spreadsheets, Ministry Platform database (preferred).
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff and ministry leaders.
- Ability to balance last minute changes with prioritized projects.
- Creative and compassionate mindset with a desire to grow in stewardship and communications with staff, ministry leaders and donors.
- 1–3 years of experience in communications and development.
Education and Trainings:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
Catholic Requirement: Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period
- All employees of the Parish are engaged in ministry and closely tied to the Pastor in the exercise of his ministry and obligations to the church.
- Parish is an at-will employer.
- All buildings and vehicles owned by the Parish are tobacco free.
- Working in a fast-paced environment with priorities and plans that may change rapidly.
- Working on weekends and evenings, and some holidays may be required.
- Will be exposed to religious ceremonies, conduct, and speech, including Roman Catholic Christian prayer and liturgical celebrations.
- Will be required to adhere to established dress codes and conduct standards.
- May be required to use personal or parish vehicle to drive to off-site locations.
- Travelling within and outside the parish to meetings and other events may be required, and travel may require overnight lodging.
