Job Title: Extended Day Assistant, 2025-2026 school year
Schedule: Part Time, Monday-Friday
Linton Hall School is seeking an Extended Day Assistant who will play a crucial role in providing a safe, enriching, and enjoyable environment for elementary school students during after-school hours. This position involves supervising and engaging with children, coordinating activities, and ensuring their well-being.
Essential Job Functions
- Interacts with parents, administration, co-workers, and school community in a manner that is professional and reflective of the charism of the Benedictine Sisters of VA
- Witnesses to the philosophy of Catholic education established by the Benedictine Sisters of VA and the Diocese of Arlington
- Monitors the arrival and departure of students, ensuring proper sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, recreational, educational, and creative activities to promote a positive and enjoyable extended day experience
- Encourages cooperation, sharing, and mutual respect
- Manage and organize equipment and supplies for daily activities
- Assists with clerical needs and all necessary cleanup
- Keep all areas within VDOE licensing code
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in child development or related field a plus)
- Previous experience working with elementary school-aged children
