Bishop McCort Catholic Elementary is seeking enthusiastic teachers to join our fantastic teaching teams for the 2025-2026 school year. We are currently in need of a Teacher Aide.
Applicants must hold a valid Pennsylvania teaching certification and must have applicable education and experience in elementary or early childhood education.
All applicants must be able to obtain all state and federal clearances.
All candidates must be supportive of the mission of the Catholic Church and be able to provide for the academic and spiritual health of our students.

Overview:
Provides for the spiritual direction of the students while serving as the instructional facilitator to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women. Instructs students in activities designed to promote spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assists teacher with paperwork, discipline and observation of students
· Provides support to students during instruction and/or activities
· Provides general classroom support
· Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
· Provides students with activities that promote their physical and intellectual development
· Coordinates the creating, planning and maintaining of a clean, safe and healthy learning environment
· Utilizes positive strategies to support the social and emotional development of all students
· Maintains and enforces school safety protocols
· Provides learning tools for promoting a positive environment
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
·Supportive of the mission of the Catholic Church
· Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan requirements
· High school diploma/GED
· Certified in First Aid and CPR for school age children
· Able to multitask and prioritize work for accomplishment in a timely manner
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform tasks in a friendly and respectful manner
· Experience working with children
· Ability to follow written and oral instructions and school age children guidelines
· Working knowledge of effective methods of managing, caring and promoting positive behaviors with children
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by assignments
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with school personnel, students, and parents while complying with associated local, state, and federal policies and statutes
· Prior experience supervising children
· Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity
