• Make daily lesson plans to include state and diocesan standards, Catholic identity, and anti-bullying. Also get parent signatures to present the Safe Environment program to the class
• Send in attendance and lunch counts daily to the office.
• Orally test students for progress reports, report cards, and fluency tests that are required at this age level.
• Set up field trips and/or guest speakers to come into the classroom.
• Set up volunteers to work in the classroom and prepare material for them to use in small groups or individually.
• Help out with the Christmas program and spring musical by monitoring students
• Send home a weekly parent letter and respond to the parent’s notes or emails.
• Attend monthly teacher meetings as well as weekly collaborative meetings with K-2. Type up the results of collaborative meetings and send them to the principal.
• Practice with students the procedure for fire drill, tornado drill, and lockdowns.
• Prepare ACE requirements for Social Studies and Math
• Help students learn and recite required prayers for this age level.
• Make folders to track learning abilities whether needing help or to be challenged for all students.
• At the end of the day, clean desktops, sweep tiled floor, put trash in the hallway, and dismiss car students.
• Access students you feel may need speech from EACS and have them tested.
• Implement classroom behavior rules and what the consequences will be if broken
• Help provide for Sunday Sweets when it’s the class’ turn.
• Prepare informational material for parents and let them know my procedures for Back to School Night
• The first of August, come in to get the classroom ready (setting up desks, putting name plates, decorating bulletin boards, dusting, checking iPads, make copies for the first few days of school, etc.
• Prepare all paperwork required by the diocese and principal to be turned in on due dates set.

Valid Indiana teaching license
