What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at DINWIDDIE HEALTH CARE LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is a member of the center management team. The HRM is a champion of the service excellence culture and serves as a resource for team members. The HR Manager works with center leaders to recruit and retain quality team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work with center managers to establish and maintain a service excellence culture and positive work environment, facilitate open communication with all team members
2. Work with hiring managers to recruit, screen, interview and select quality applicants
3. Develop recruiting pipelines including partnerships with local nursing schools, technical schools, professional associations, team member referrals, etc. to meet future recruiting needs
4. Conduct and facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation process with managers to ensure effectiveness and retention of new hires, facilitate ongoing social support for new hires
5. Assist with benefits administration including annual open enrollment, ongoing benefits enrollment, managing qualifying events, and communicating benefit information to employees
6. Coordinate FMLA, ADA, and other leaves,
7. Ensure employee time records are accurate and updated daily, assist with payroll processing
8. Accurately report vacancies, hires, retention and turnover data
9. Facilitate Team Member Recognition program and satisfaction surveys
10. Assist managers with ensuring that human resource policies and programs are implemented and followed, assist with resolution of work-related issues
11. Provide guidance to management and employees on issues, coach and assist managers in addressing and correcting performance issues
12. Complete Exit Interviews, review and report trends
13. Maintain HR files, track performance evaluations, license renewals, CPR, PPD, Worker’s Compensation, OSHA logs
14. Report, monitor and track Worker’s Compensation claims, promote safe work environment, serve on safety committee
15. Assist managers with tracking to ensure Relias completion 16. Other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum Two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources field
2. Working knowledge of current federal and state laws, statutes, and regulations pertaining to human resources
3. Experience in Healthcare setting preferred
4. Ability to build caring relationships and influence all levels
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
6. Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills
8. Strong listening skills and ability to deal with conflict with professionalism and courtesy
9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to work beyond core working hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.
2. Ability to travel periodically, when necessary
3. Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time.
4. Ability to lift, move, push, or pull a minimum of 10 pounds.
