Job Summary
The education specialist provides research based intervention to students with special needs in an included or pull-out setting. The special educator may also provide instruction using standards based curriculum. Special education teachers help to develop. implement and monitor an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each special education student.
Requirements / Qualifications
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: EDUCATION SPECIALIST-(Mild/Moderate)Autism Program -JEFFERSON ELEMENTARY (TK-5) QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Possess a valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential OR meet eligibility requirements for Intern Program. 2.Appropriate credential authorization to teach in an elementary self-contained classroom or single subject Mathematics, English Language Arts, or other single subject areas is preferred. 3.Appropriate documentation authorizing instruction to English learners. 4.Two to three years successful classroom teaching experience is desirable. 5.Experience working with children with Autism and are knowledgeable about EBA (Evidence Based Programs)

Employment application 2.Letter of Introduction 3.Resume 4.Three current letters of reference, dated within the past year. 5.Copies of credential(s) and transcript(s) 6.A Certificate of Eligibility letter issued by your current credential program
