Dinsmore is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant at our Dayton, OH location who will support multiple attorneys in connection with general corporate work, business acquisitions and securities.
Responsibilities
- Help to manage individual attorney calendars which could include scheduling meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements; learn departmental docketing system as necessary
- Open and maintain client files
- Provide clerical support to the attorneys and paralegals
- Coordinate the monthly client billing process
- Provide backup overflow assistance to legal administrative assistants as needed
Requirements
- Experience with maintaining, reviewing and drafting corporate documentation, correspondence and reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent word processing skills and intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office Suite, .pdf editing software, and related legal software, including electronic document management systems iManage/FileSite, PowerPoint, and Outlook a plus
- Familiarity with basic online resources
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to multi-task
- Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Solid work history including 3-5 years supporting multiple attorneys/paralegals
- Experience in transactional work
- Other duties as necessary
