Dinsmore is seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal to support multiple attorneys in our Intellectual Property practice group.
Responsibilities
- Review and organize files; review docket for deadlines
- Prioritize workload to meet foreign filing deadlines and due dates
- Prepare and review appropriate correspondence from foreign patent associates and to clients and associates regarding new applications, formal requirements, filing details, etc.
- Assist in filing of U.S., International (PCT), and foreign patent applications (including preparation and review of necessary filing documents)
- Process Office Actions from US and foreign patent offices
- Familiarity with the USPTO Patent Center, and experience filing patent applications and responses therein
- Prepare, maintain and update reports for clients regarding status of applications and patents, including reporting filing receipts for applications, publication notices and forwarding patent certificates
- Minimum of 2-5 years Intellectual Property experience and have previous Foreign filing experience, and strong computer skills
- General knowledge of Patent Prosecution rules/regulations
- Detail oriented, highly skilled, flexible and have the ability to prioritize a busy workload
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required for successful achievement
