Dinsmore is seeking a Practice Support Specialist at our Cincinnati, OH location to support our Labor and Employment practice group.

Responsibilities

• Assist multiple attorneys primarily in connection with employment litigation
• Maintain positive contact with clients, attorneys, and staff
• Provide typical administrative support functions including knowledge of specialized terminology relevant to the practice area
• Maintain schedules and calendars of multiple attorneys
• Preparation of basic pleadings and motion packages
• Manage case documents
• Preparation and service of subpoenas in accordance with court rules
• Docket and calendar litigation deadlines
• File/e-file in State and Federal courts
• Meet client deadlines and adapt to industry changes
• Ensure the effective and timely delivery of outgoing mail, messenger deliveries, overnight deliveries, and facsimiles
• Proofread legal documents as required
• Provide support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of litigation support experience
• Working knowledge and understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using attorney timekeeping software and document management systems
• Ability to effectively organize, plan, and prioritize work
• Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
• Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker
• Ability to excel in a fast paced environment
