Dinsmore is seeking a detail oriented Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst at its Cincinnati, OH location to join our finance team. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for leading the Firm’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting that supports the strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, experience in analytical solutions, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
Leads in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
Develops and maintains financial models for revenue and expenses
Meets with budget managers regularly to support forecast/budget goals
Analyzes financial data to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement
Updates financial schedules monthly/quarterly/yearly in a timely manner
Completes monthly high level and detail level analytics on the firm’s performance within given deadlines
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis
Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting
Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions
Continuously improving financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Provides regular and ongoing communication of various project status to finance leaders
Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, law firm budgeting and reporting, or a similar role
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications
Experience in Aderant, Iridium Budget
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
