Senior Litigation Attorney – Plaintiff’s Serious Torts Litigation

Location: Downtown Chicago, IL (In-Office)

Position Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Senior & Junior Attorneys (3-10 years litigation experience preferred)

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, generous fee-split on originated cases, performance-based bonuses

We are a growing plaintiff’s law firm with over 70 years of experience representing individuals and families in complex, high-stakes litigation. Our focus is on serious and catastrophic injury cases, including medical malpractice, trucking accidents, nursing home and institutional abuse, civil rights violations, and sexual abuse. Our attorneys have secured landmark verdicts and settlements, including first impression cases that have shaped Illinois law.

We are looking for a seasoned, passionate, and strategic litigators to join our team and help us continue fighting for justice on behalf of our clients.

What You’ll Do

•Lead and manage high-value litigation from intake through trial or settlement

•Work closely with partners and support staff in a collaborative team environment

•Conduct plaintiff, defendant, and expert depositions, including standard of care and causation

•Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery responses, and manage case strategy

•Represent clients in court at hearings, mediations, and trials

•Take initiative on case development, including client communication and litigation planning

•Help mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the overall growth of the firm

What We’re Looking For

•Minimum 4-10 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff’s or Defense attorney personal injury or medical malpractice

•Proven deposition experience, especially with experts in standard of care and causation

•Strong writing, analytical, and courtroom advocacy skills

•Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple matters independently

•Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing

•Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

•Trial experience strongly preferred
