Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator/Equipment Operator to run a Bobcat Mini Excavator and Skid Steer mostly on residential jobs. Looking for an operator with experience in excavation. Most of these jobs involve exposing water lines, sewer lines, and other utilities that need replacement. Some jobs involve digging near or around gas lines and electrical lines. After the trench is properly dug, and once the plumbers install the new utility lines, we properly backfill the trench. Driving a dump truck may be part of the job on certain days. Part time to start, with potential to turn into full time job. Weekly pay.
DOT Physical card and Hydraulic License required
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, skid steers, non-CDL trucks, and construction tools with precision and safety awareness on construction sites.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with site preparation activities including grading, trenching, excavation, and material handling.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Coordinate with project managers and other crew members to execute tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate complex problems for repairs.
- Support various construction activities including site cleanup as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols is essential.
- Hands-on experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is highly desirable.
